Not all LED bulbs are brighter!

My MOT guy said he wouldn't be concerned with the type of light source, provided the beam pattern was within the proscribed limits.

No sooner had I made my post early this afternoon and the new Club magazine landed on the mat.
With the advert from BCL......yes, after talking with Gil Keane I took the new light units for BOTH the inners and the outers.
I had wanted to use Cibie light units for the outers, but after lots of searching found it was going to be very hard getting units that would fit the Stag. (Dolomite Sprint yes, no problem but wasn't taking a chance, as each unit was more than £60) The dip beam cut-off on the Cibies on my old Sprint was absolutely superb, very, very well-defined, which is why I wanted them
Good to know the beam pattern is ok. Gil did say the light units are well-matched to the led bulbs.
One thing, can you confirm if the new H4 light units require use of the larger plastic "buckets" ?? (The new led bulbs being "longer" at the rear of the light units than the standard H1 halogens presently fitted.)
