Leaking stag inlet manifiold

I have just fitted an exchange inlet manifold to our stag engine. It leaks coolant into the Vee. I don't wish to remove the manifold unless I am forced too. Can any member suggest a reliable in situ repair I don't wish to try K seal as I have had poor results using this product in the past. Georgestag1

I should have said the four inlet joints to the cylinder heads are not leaking in to the vee. I have been able to finger feel these joints, I can feel coolant on the bottom of the manifold body. georgestag1

did you check the core plug which is located on underside of the manifold?

If you are certain that none of the four inlet manifold gaskets is leaking, then I would see if the top hose is leaking at the thermostat end. Also, it may be a leak from the thermostat gasket, particularly if the thermostat isn't seating properly in the manifold casting.

Everybody beat me to it (they are much wiser than me!) - I was going to suggest core plug as well if you can feel coolant on the manifold underside. But before you rip it out, do check what Mike said first as many leaks from hoses can look like manifold/gasket leaks.

I Stuck a bottle of radweld in the coolant system and the leak is no longer there. I am more than 90% sure it was a leaking inlet manifold core plug as the bottom of the manifold was wet, all other areas were and are dry. georgestag1
