Mk1 rad verse Mk2 rad.

If I use a rad. blanking cap on a Mk1 radiator and add a Mk2 expansion tank with a 20 psi cap, does this set up effectively become a Mk2 set up?

I have 2 Mk1 radiators and a Chris Spain header tank which I plan to use for a Mk1 Stag.

Besides the radiator cap on the MK1 rad, is the configuration of the Mk1 rad core different than that of a Mk2 rad?
