Bob - West Sussex kicking off the 40th Celebration Run

    Hi Bob

So, you are kicking the run off on the 13th March? Looks good with a run up to Surrey for the handover.

Bob, do you know yet how many Stags you will have on the day and on the run?

Are there anyWest Sussex members on the Forum taking part?

This Run is now really taking shape and from what I hear, the South East and Eastern Regionsnow have planned dates in place andarefinalising the arrangements.

    Lets hope its tops downweather

    Cheers

    Hi Andrew

Yes we are starting the run off from Fontwell Park so that when it returns on National Day it will have done the full circuit, we are taking it to Brooklands for a photo shoot, Don't know how many Stags involved yet as most of them are not taxed, I think we will have 4or5 that are willing to put their cars on the road by the 13th. It looks like it is going to pass all the areas up to Norfolk by the end of March.

We hope to leave Fontwell about 12 mid day or there abouts as we have some business to do there first regarding National Weekend and it depends on how long that takes, but hoping to arrive at Brooklands by 2pm at the latest. I'll sign your autograph book for you.:P

This is taken from an email from Denis regarding the arrangements:

              March 13th 40th Anniversary

Bob Heritage and some of his group members will start the series of runs around the country. They will be leaving Fontwell Park in West Sussex at around 12:00 to Meet us at Brooklands (something like 1:30) where they will hand over the mascot. If you would like to be part of the reception, please contact either Carl or myself.

              March 14th 40th Anniversary

It is our turn to carry the mascot to East Sussex. We aim to leave Newlands Corner mid to late morning in order to arrive at our destination ( to be agreed with East Sussex group) to hand over the mascot. If you'd like a coffee and/or a bacon roll – be there 9:30 to 10:00.

Where is the end point in East Sussex, any one know?

Hoping to get my car back on its wheels for one of these days, as it is my birthday on the Saturday and should be fun.

              Rgds....Al.
