    Caliper seals

My Rimmer caliper kits have two different seals. One square cross section, one with a "V" groove facing the piston. It is slightly asymmetric. Which goes where? Inner/Outer and if the groove is intended to be asymmetric, which way does the wider portion go? I looked at my originals and all 4 seals were square cross section.

Only square. Yea, what little I have seen. Contacting Rimmer, but that usually takes a while and I have not been at all happy with their support.* Maybe phone is better, but not from this side of the pond.
I would guess the V groove is the outer dirt seal.

I just rebuild. New seals, new pistons. Not much that can go wrong as everything that wears is new. ( except when the new parts are different) Masters I replace.

*It is beyond their comprehension that a 5/8 sway bar bushing does not fit a 3/4 inch bar. They suggest new caps.

FOUND IT! A reference in a excerpt for an ad for a TR-7 book. V-groove is the outer dust seal!
