As there is so much information here, is it, or would it be possible to have a subject search box? I used to be a member of the Pre War Minor Forum and they had that facility on their forum, which was incredibly useful!

Sorry guys, feeling stupid - just found how to search! -
No problem, I'm sure many here are relieved you asked the question. All the knowledge of Stag owners going back many years is included there and of course it's unusual to find a subject that's not been questioned before, and sometimes the help from previous owners now left is even more relevant than current thinking.
As in common with many forums the search facility doesn't like 3 letter and less words, hub, oil etc and it's surprising how many items on a car are made up with 3 letters ! Adding an s on the end of the word helps or even dropping the space between two words, rearhub for example, will sometimes give you the results needed. Also searching through Google or your other choice of browser including the subject and Stag Owners club will sometimes do the job. Welcome to the forum.

I find that using the site specific search in Google gives me the best results e.g.
dip the oil site:socforum.com

+1 on the three letter problem..
I miss the literal search, i.e using quotation marks to search for a specific term, it used to be a way to find the 3 letter words as well "dip the oil" would find that term but the update last year lost that ability..along with the AND function.
I'm going to try the google search, looks like a solution.
Ohhh look ... all the B post info I need!
