    Boot lock barrel change???

I need to change the barrel on the boot lock as I can open the boot with a screwdriver!!! I have taken the pushbutton out but can't figure out how you get the chrome bit off the barrel. Anybody tried to do this and what barrel would you use?

    Thanks in anticipation

looks like most of the older locks, there should be a spring loaded brass pin inside the hole shown in your photo.
it should press in a couple of mm, the barrel can then be removed with the key inserted in the lock, you may be able to replace the springs behind each lock latch and get it working again, just keep them in order as they are removed

If you don’t get an answer by Monday, I have one in pieces at work and I’ll photograph it for you.

Thanks Guys. The pin in the small hole is solid. I think the whole thing is in such a state that it’s beyond saving. I’ve bitten the bullet and bought a new lock from James Paddock. They’ve got a sale on and have reduced the whole assembly to £37 so even if I did find a replacement barrel on eBay, they are all around £20 to £27 for the extra few quid I get a new housing and new keys.
