Stag Hire for 90th Birthday

My farther work on manufacturing components for the Triumph Stag whilst working for Bean Industries Ltd.

It is his 90th Birthday on the 28/01/2020, we are having a family celebration on Sunday 26/01/2020 starting at 1pm.

I was wondering if any Midlands Stag owners would consider giving him a ride from Tipton to Dudley around 3 miles (happy to pay). I'm sure it would bring back fond memories and help make a day to remember.

I thought I would post an update on this, and I hope Andrew and his Dad, Arthur don’t mind.

I and a South Birmingham member, Julian, volunteered to assist, but rather than 2 Stags turn up, and with the timings better suiting me, I collected Arthur from his home in Tipton and transported him 2-3 miles to Dudley where 45 of his family were celebrating his 90th birthday and planning to enjoy a Sunday carvery. The weather was not the best, with torrential rain and mucky roads, Stagatha now shut back in the garage, filthy dirty and with the dehumidifier going until I can get to clean and dry her off on Tuesday.

Arthur managed to get into the Stag quite easily, despite his 90 years, although getting out was slightly more challenging. He seemed delighted by his trip, although communication was difficult because Arthur is very, very hard of hearing.

Arthur used to work at Beans Foundry in Tipton, and used to make Stag crankshafts back in the day, so Stagatha was only saying ThankYou, and wondering whether he made her crank?

I’ll try and get further details and publish a follow-up article for the magazine, but Arthur, I hope you had a great Birthday and Andrew, thank you for the donation to SARA ( Severn Area Rescue Association) which is the organisation that I ( and Stagatha!) try to support.
