Replacing fuel pump

Looking for some advice on replacing the fuel pump in 1976 Mk11 with electronic ignition. The Rimmer Bros site seems to have multiple options

I put a non SU one on from ldparts. It has been really good had it in a year and a half and 4000 miles with no issues.

LDParts. Take a little time to ensure the pipes seal properly otherwise boot smells of fuel, even the tiniest amount.

Another 1 for the LD Part electronic one Unfortunately it appears out of stock at the moment but is worth waiting for if you can.

SU, if only to support a UK manufacturer (Burlen).

But make sure it has the latest "ethanol proof" internals. Without them the output falls off until the engine is starved of fuel when working hard.
Header tanks - you can't beat a bit of bling.

Yep. Burlen SU Fuel Pump for me too, although in 2012 it was £75 + VAT; now £105 + VAT

Single ended Electronic type Pump. Negative earth. High pressure 12 Volt with minimum flow of 15 gallons per hour. boot mounted.

For more information on SU Fuel Pumps please see the technical pages of the SU Shop.

Q: Are your parts suitable for modern fuel?
A: Yes our parts are suitable for modern fuels. As a company we have improved our products including fuel hose and floats to be compatible with fuel changes.
                      The answer isn't 42, it's 1/137

I can only recommend the Japanese Mitsuba pump. Not cheap, but very reliable.... Good luck, Dieter.
