I want to treat Nigel Stag to some new spark plugs during his annual service. Having looked online for N11/12Ys, there is a plethora of different makes out there - some I suspect may be oriental imports of an unknown quality. Can anyone recommend a quality product from a reliable supplier? Nigel is 1973 manual o/d with electronic ignition.

NGK BP5ES is my preferred choice, never had any bother with NGK and they are widely available. Just beware of real cheapies off of eBay - may not be genuine NGK and could give problems, They are available from all the usual Stag parts people and other places like Eurocarparts.

I use the NGK BP5ES plugs and the car runs well. I bought mine on Amazon marketplace...https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
8 plugs for less than £20. For some reason Amazon themselves wouldn't let me purchase a set of 8. Who knows why

I have used both the NGK and Bosch WR8DC+. My engine seems to run better with the Bosch (paired with Bosch Red coil) but a lot of it may be just personal taste. When I first bought the car it was Faversham who installed the Bosch versions.
Bosch available here: https://www.gsparkplug.com/1x-bosch-...g-wr8dc-3.html

Well all I know is the car was fitted with them when I bought it and I replaced like for like without any issues. I'd trust the guys on here more than anyone else.Originally posted by alpenmac View PostThanks Richard for the link to Amazon, interestingly it says that they are unsuitable for the Stag.

NGK BP5ES are currently £2.99 each from ECP. Using their SALE60 sale discount brings them down to £15.52 for 8.
Stag is not listed in their search boxes, but if you look for Triumph TR7 then you will get there.Dave
