Hazard warning lamps staying on not flashing

Hi everyone ! Another question as I move through the checklist... my indicators work fine, hazard warning lights illuminate but just stay on, new switch fitted, I can locate the flasher unit under the steering wheel, is there a separate one for the hazards please ? Mk2 1977 stag ,, Ive looked in the left footwell, and I have a delay switch where I thought the other one may be there too, perhaps I missed it ..
that’s the second question, what does the delay relay do ? Sorry for the newbie questions, but everyone seems so helpful !

I seem to have 2 relays in the left hand side behind parcel shelf, the smaller one is the delay relay !

So, the delay relay is for the wipers, looks like it’s dead, they work fine on the normal settings so no issue they aren’t intermittent, the thermal relay seems hard to find ? Still can’t work out the location of the hazard flasher relay... any help appreciated !

        Hi,
The hazard relay is in-line with the feed circuit to the hazard switch and is the only thing that breaks the circuit to flash the hazards.
So, 99 times out of 100 it will be the hazard relay.
        Regards,
        Dennis

My hazard flasher switch was sitting on top of the steering column behind/under the dash.

It’s hangs around under the drivers side dash, if you look at my pics on my carpet you can see it hanging loose in some shots (remember it’s a left hand drive!) yours will be in the same place but on the right..

A couple of years ago I bought a carpet set from a well respected company that has been recommended on the forum a number of times. Im just fitting the final pieces and I'm a little perplexed. The sill, tunnel and backboard carpets were fine but now I am dropping in the final floor pieces I am wondering if I am missing

After over an hour of troubleshooting the wrong flasher on my 73 Mk2 LHD federal...

I can definitely say that the hazard flasher is on the relay board, the turn flasher is the one hanging around under the dash..
