    Fitting EWP

Have set aside a couple of days to fit this pump...etc. Have removed inlet manifold , just checking alignment of fixing bolts and notice some are off square. Some have also been helicoiled. Would it be a good idea to retap these holes to say take an M8 thread.

Also the instructions from Ward mention applying some RVT sealer to the bung. Is RVT just a high temp sealant ?

    Thanks in advance.

    Mike,
Have you tried fitting the bung? I ask because mine was really, really tight fit and required no sealant, I suspect bung fit depends on how much corrosion / deposits on the block surface facing the bung.

M8 - why have a car with mixed metric & Imperial? Also the bolts are into Aluminium so they must be a really coarse thread (UNC) as the metal is too weak for a fine thread (UNF) . A helicoiled thread should be as strong or stronger than a direct thread so I do not believe there would be any advantage in changing.
