Drain plug stuck RHS head - Help.../ ideas?

Its all going marvellously - Not..!
I managed the LHS very very tight drain plug...The thread looked very rounded and deformed. A days work got it out...

The RHS plus is as equally as tight.
It's a pig to get to and had to take off the oil filter bowl to help.
The power steering module and pipes are also in the way...

A whole day just rocking it with WD40.
1/4 turn out - in, then 1/2 turn out the 1/4 in etc....
Only to find the bolt is not moving itself out of the block.

So the darn thing is not coming out....
Any ideas chaps...?

It might snap, It might leak and then u are really screwed. In my case, I have an engine out of the car. The threads are rusty however, I still have enough meat to clean the threads with a thread chaser.

You have not mentioned heat. As the plugs are brass in the cast iron block they have dis-similar rates of expansion( 18 compared with 10) I would expect such a difference to assist in breaking any corrosion and allowing a thin oil in to assist. Diesel is quite thin if you have any.

A large syringe with a few inches of plastic tube on the end is ideal to stick into the power steering and syphon off the fluid so pump can be removed cleanly.

due to the different expansion rates have you tried to freeze the drain plug to shrink it, a plumbing pipe freeze kit or co2 fire extinguisher may do the trick

The thermal approach sounds good will give it a go. Both heat and freeze together...
A bit of an issue is that the thread may already be compromised and will not engage and pull through.
Friday not having a go at it as going out for lunch......:-)
