Easiest way to change dash gauges into new wooden dash panel
Easiest way to change dash gauges into new wooden dash panel
I have a new veneer set and am down to changing the gauges over. How best to start? Disconnect harness with gauges intact or remove & label each wire first? Appreciate any guidance / shortcuts.
I would ease the dash out as far as possible take a photo of a gauge, remove it from the old dash and replace the wires.
do the same for each gauge.
when they are all out, replace in the same way. you will possibly find some wires without a home as you take it apart, if all is working beforehand dont try to find a home for them.
enjoy the birds nest

Welcome to the Forum. Make sure the battery is disconnected before you start. There are some live bits lurking behind the panel, so it will avoid any unintended excitement.
