    Choke cable routing?

On my 1972 build automatic Stag, the choke cables are routed through the hole provided for the clutch cylinder.
How do the cables enter the engine bay on a manual car?

I have a LHD auto and the choke uses the same hole as in the photo.

Pic of my totally original RHD manual car when I started restoration. Choke cables marked with tape.

Thanks guys! I knew routing through the clutch cylinder hole was wrong!

I recall for LHD Stags and RHD Stags the chock cable pull is on the left side of the dash. Someone wrote an article in the SOC switching the location for RHD stags. makes more sense.
