    crankshaft thrust washers HELP!!!

    Hi All,
As part of my stags resto, i have been working on the engine, renewing parts and cleaning them up i noticed the main bearing were worn down to the copper colour so i replaced them, the set i ordered came with thrust washers, however ive looked all over the crankshaft and the main bearing caps and i cant find where the thrust washers go, could someone please tell me where they go and how they go on, i have the BL workshop manual however its very vague in terms of main bearings and thrust washers.

    Thanks In Advance

Make sure you fit them the right way round.
I have dismantled several triumph engines (not just Stags), and found them fitted back to front which somewhat knackers the thrust face of the crank
