This started ouit as a modification to put a non-return valve into the washer line to avoid having to pump for 1 minute before water comes out on to the screen.
In the process of refitting the tube to the washer bottle top I broke off the stub pipe inside the bottle. Not wanting to buy one of those new ones with the pump screwed on to the lid, I thought I'd have a look see if I could repair it. During this process I discovered how the pump works, and found a pretty much disintegrated gasket which was blocking the input and exit to the pump.
