Manual gearbox needs attention - recommendations please

Hi all,
Can anyone recommend an individual/company to check out and repair my gearbox please? I live in Northampton so ideally it'd be somewhere close if at all possible. It's a MK 2 Stag with crunching 3rd gear and an overdrive that seems to work when cold but not when warm - although it sometimes will after a time delay!! I haven't yet done any wiring or switch checks on the overdrive unit, but as i will be dropping the gearbox i thought i'd mention it in case the unit is faulty. I know obviously of E J Wards, but there always seems to be such a long delay before any garage availability.

You have described the same faults as mine had Gord. Being a gearbox rebuilder the gearbox wasn't an issue but the o/d (not normally an issue) was in very poor condition & by the time I had priced the parts up it was only about £70.00 (+ vat) more for an o/d specialist to do it. So I farmed that one out!

I was very impressed with ORS Overdrive Repair Services close to M1 in Sheffield. £1040 for both GB and OD to be returned to as new condition. Quick too ! Regards Alan
