Certainly not the usual scam, no requests to contact a mobile or via email or any of the usual stuff. Description matches pictures last MoT'd in 2018. Usual caveat of buyer beware, but could be worth a look (if we were allowed )
Car was designed in the 60's so technically it does have 60's style and power
Now Stagless but have numerous car projects
So many cars, so little time!
unfortunately i was the mug who purchased this exact car on ebay not realising that it was a scam and i transferred the money to a paypal holding account, however although everything seemed legit, it was all setup by the scammer and i ended up losing £5600 to this scumbag, your suspicions were right
sorry ive just realised this wasnt the one i was scammed on but this particular one i won the bid for of £9000 but the seller claimed to be a 47 year old army veteran who was in the army for 40 years?, you are right he told me that the only thing he purchased was a new roof but then later on told me that its the only stag hes ever had and it had the original soft top and hard top, the reason i didnt buy it in the end is because he wanted a bank transfer and i was very weary about it after being stung as shown above,
however despite how dodgy this seems this car is going to be at the anglia car auction in june so, things are very wierd but they could somehow be true.
Good grief, you’ve had a very bad time with Stag purchase, I’m so sorry to hear you were caught on the first one and a very expensive lesson to learn indeed!
2nd car looks lovely but there was just something even backed up by what he said that didn’t ring true and I’d never do a bank transfer until I was absolutely certain the seller was legitimate and that’s not always easy to ascertain.
Will you bid for it at the auction though?
Hope you get what you want eventually without more hassle.
Cheers
well i have a 1978 stag myself which i'm comletely restoring, from a bare shell, i was lucky enough to get a bargain first time around, but after seeing my stag my father wanted to get one himself, so i decided i would help get him one and i havent been so lucky second time around, but finally i managed to help buy him one today, in Bexley which is actually genuine and would seem a bargain and we have managed to view it and actually get it home so he finally has one.
