Previously been using NGK BP5E Plugs One has cracked and have been given Bosch R6 as a replacement , Cant find a reliable cross reference on the internet any one know if these will do the same job?
I don't think that R6 is the full Bosch number. If you have the plug the look for a 5 digit code stamped or engraved in the metal just above the threaded portion.
I always think it is best to have all 8 spark plugs matching. If the NGK ones are fairly new and you just need one then I would get another NGK plug, they are widely available via mail order and not expensive. That removes any doubt as to whether or not the Bosch one is the same.
