I'm not sure if the Stag's rear brake cylinders use some sort of paper between rear plate and cylinder, but I've seen other cars have something. Whats the reason for this paper? Shall I add some gasket paper to my Stag? Or is this overkill?

the cylinder may move the first time the brakes have been rebuilt, this will be when everything centralise but it should never move after that unless you have worn wheel bearings
