When Frankenstein put the bits together ......

Hi, I have never put a Stag back together again which has been partly stripped, is there anyway I can get information as to how to go about it?

Your help at this time would be invaluable, I have to keep my self occupied thats the sole reason I got this Stag..................to be honest I recovered from Alchololism 11 years ago, bought a Stag which kept me occupied and never looked back, this project will keep me on the straight and narrow.......dry alchololism is a disease!!!!!

How much of it is apart ? engine, interior or the out side chrome trim

if its the interior, first check all wiring is in place and working, then make sure heater is place and working try to slide the vents, make shore they move, than fit carpet and seats door panels

An older member Duncan Skye put together a sequence - I'm sure I downloaded a copy; I'll look for it if it would help

Its great that buying your first Stag has helped in keeping you sober. I'm sure there are quite a few members on here that have been 'driven to drink' after getting their Stags. My own Stag has had me 'reaching for the bottle' on many an occasion after a particularly frustrating repair session - Alan

When I was rebuilding mine, I printed out the Spares Catalogue and crossed through the parts with a felt-tip pen as I re-assembled, to check I hadn't missed anything out.

                Drew[/QUOTEBasically that what I did.

First I broke the re-build down into discreet tasks or Job Nos and from the parts catalogue and Rimmer's catalogue (because some items have new part numbers) and made a list of what materials were required. See example of engine mounts attached below. I added the bolt dimensions or any comments to the parts list picture. I then marked off in yellow when the newly ordered parts arrived. I then made up plastic bags or boxes with the required parts for each job.
