    Hard top fitting

I'm having problems fitting my hard top after having it refurbished. I simply cant get the dam thing to close on the right hand back catch. I've tried many times but it simple will not turn to lock it down.

What did they do to the hard top in the refurbishment any welding, have you got the centre rear spring plunger on ,that may be twisting the back end of the roof ,try taking the centre spring/plunger of see if it fits better

No, no welding. Just everything replaced. inner lining heating probe furex etc. It just doesn't seem to sit low enough on that side.

Buffer stops at rear screwed out too far?

Replacement rubber bush on the handle too thick (if it was renewed)?

thanks. I will look at the rear stops. Yes the handle turns perfectly, just not when in the hole. I think that its just not going in far enough.

Also, check the brass insert in the chrome horseshoe which is where the handle actually bites. On one of mine the brass insert had fallen out completely. If it's dislodged and dropped a bit or even turned it will stop the handle from engaging.
