    Do i need it ?

    These a thick white with red strip wire that goes from the Starter (STA connector) if automatic via inhibitor switch to ignition switch .
    Do i need this wire if Manual ?
    The wiring loom in engine bay connector for manual has the wiring for gear box reverse and overdrive switches on gearbox , the thick White red is looped back onto the connector .
    My connector block wires have all come off ,Question is does the loop back white red feed any thing ,or is it there if auto fitted ?
    Can i remove it ?

    Yes you need it. It feeds the starter from the ignition switch.

      I suspect the loop up to the connector by the gearbox isn't needed on a manual though. Wiring diagram I have supports that.;

        The power goes via the connector so as wired yes you need it, but you can indeed eliminate it on a manual, its not used in the gearbox like an auto.

        I did this when I had my loom out, I just took the wire from the ignition that goes to the connector and wired it directly to the starter. You could also just remove the wires from the plug and solder them together, eliminating that problem connector.
