FInding a lot on why my HVAC was so week. Becides all the bad connections dropping a few volts, there is far more difference in blower motors that was obvious.
Stock "silver" motor puls 2.2A @ 12V unloaded
Replacement in the car, looks like an older 4-seasons 1.2A unloaded
The new 4-seasons "intermotor" I bought 1A unloaded.
Stock MGB 4A loaded
Delco from a C-10 10A
I have not dug out my optical RPM meter or measured actual velocity in the housing. The Stag blowers are strait blade, which wil push across a higher resistance and was needed due to the reversiing-series trick they did for 2-speeds. Al lmy other fans are inclined for efficency.
As far as the fans, the Stag is 5 x 2 1/4 inch. MGB was 4 1/8 x 2. The Delco is 5 3/4 x 3 3/4. THe Hyndai was only a little bigger diameter, but deeper tnah the MGB.
I have not pulled the 87 Huydai motor out of my MGB.It is a bigger fan then the MG fan, but do idea on the current. As all these motors are a similar technology, I suspect current and RPM to be porportional.
Lots of motors out there, but the 1/4 inch D shaft is not common.
I'll pull the fan from my B tomorrow and get the specs.
