40th Aniversary Run

Well the run has started.

Bob Heritage plus 4 or 5 other Stags from West Sussex started at Fontwell Park and ran up to Brooklands were a reception of about 25 Stags and crews was assembled. Several areas were represented including East Sussex, Essex, Berks, Bucks & Oxon, Solent & New Forrest and Surrey. SOCrates (the mascot) was handed over to the Surrey group. Many photos were taken, the best of which will be uploaded to the website in due course.

Tomorrow (Sunday 14th March) the Surrey group will leave Newlands Corner at 10:00 AM to run down to Bexhill on Sea and the De La Warr Pavilion (TN40 1DP)where SOCrates will be passed to East Sussex.

Yes Denis, is was an excellent day and have never seen so many camera. I understand Socrates was even photographed in the pilots seat on Corncorde. Presume now he's resting in his B&B.

Good to see do so many Stags out and dry weather.

Good luck to everyone else for the next stages and make sure that your coordinatorputs down how many Stags took part on each run and also the mileage on each run so by the time the run hasn't finished in August, we will know how many stags took part and how long the route was. There are handover instructions etc in the box and also clear idiot proof instructions about how to use the club camera and upload to SOC website

Left the car alone this morning for a few minutes, and returned to find SOCrates humping my T Bar.........

I was glad to escort the fluffy little thing out of Surrey.......my Stag may never be the same again
