    head gasket weep im told

hi so car went to a new guy i never used him but seems to have knowledge around old cars bcz ive moved to bedford and hes local . and i only wanted an intrim service and coolant change
anyhow. he said he noticed a weep coming from head gasket he showed me some pics it could have been from 3 years ago and wasent cleaned off . when i had them done by a well known guy used to be here .they were tourqed up afer around 600 miles and thats it .i have got no overheating issues no steam etc and the car drives great
what should i do get it torqued up again or leave it
can a hg just go without any issues at all though
    advice appreciated

i also must add the car has had little use in last 2 years just enough to keep it ticking over .the oil that came out was slightly creamy .it is only 2 years old

If it were me, I'd go for a retorque, cleaning off the coolant traces, then monitor. No point in taking the heads off unless having to.

Then drive it a bit more

Thx jonno my thoughts exactly . Can't see how a relatively new gasket can go without any issues/signs

Hmmm My O/S head has a slight weep of coolant just above the drain tap ( about a thimble full if you leave a tray underneath) after each journey. Its definitely loosing fluid as the stagwebber tank announced it.

Having checked the heads torque settings (all OK) I have decided to use Holts Wondarweld. I am nervous, but looking at the procedure it should not be a problem as you do not leave it in the system that long and after you use it, you flush it out many times before refilling with coolant. It is specifically for cylinder head gaskets amongst others.

I am hoping I am not making a bad decision here...

It could be a weep from the water pump, the seals often let some by when just standing.

Yes still going strong . It is still running strong and still a heap. Costs £60 a year to insure fully comp . Road tax is most expensive part. Thinking of running on cooking oil when diesel goes back up in price lo! .

"he maybe able to put you on to someone near you with a torque wench and the will" as in M and M post above. I'm not sure I like the sound of a torque wench (sic) tightening my nuts!!
