I used some Stainless strip, cut it using an old sissors into arcs up to 240 degrees then, glued these into the frame. After which polished the stainless with an dremel...

One of my light bases polished up very nicely but the other one didn't so I'm going to put these back in. I used foiled tape and expoxy glue to fix them. One had melted and was in two halves. I'm putting in LED brake light bulbs. The type that have LEDs on the sides and also project out through a lens. if u are putting in LED bulbs make sure they are about 2 inch in length else the LED's on the side sit too far back in the fitting and don't reflect.
