Thanks Richard, I had looked on the net and seen those sorts of prices. I just remember that there was one supplier who seemed to always have it at a good price, though for the life of me, I can't remember who that was. It's been some years since I bought any, and I bought enough at the time to do a couple of oil changes.
Can anyone suggest where I can get this oil cheaply?
Thanks in advance
Gord
Are you aware that the formulation of the VR1 now available in Europe is not the same as it used to be?? Their technical depart refuse to confirm (or deny!) any information on ZDDP levels or lack thereof. There have been several threads discussing this recently.
Many are going with the Classic Oils one mentioned in DJT's post above - cheaper to!
It was Eurocarparts that used to do the good old VR1 at good offer prices.

Now Stagless but have numerous car projects
So many cars, so little time!
One of the few oil companies/retailers that print the zinc content of ZDDP (1300ppm) on the bottle. The others come out with weasel words “ it’s been optimised” ( that means ZDDP reduced to allow it to go in modern Catalyst equipped cars, too bad we need it for our big tappet engines).
+ 1 from me.

Thanks Micky, I was aware that it was the 20-50 product we need but thanks for the confirmation.
