cant see why not, but the speedo and cruise need a constant reading so it needs to be diff or prop mounted, easy way is to use areldite or similar to stick a couple of magnets on the outer edge of the diff flange and then mount a couple of hall effect pick ups. if engine mounted revs can vary but road speed remain constant
No link. Anyway I welded and filed to shape 4 tabs on my diff flange and fitted a generic VR pickup. That should give me enough for a VDO tach and Rostra cruise control. The Rostra wants a square wave so I found a little buffer box. One sensor, two functions. Too bad the 4 bolts are not symmetric.

Interested to know how you would drive a tach from the diff?
