Stainless exhaust

Hi all
I am fitting a new stainless system but if you see the attached picture that pipe seems about 3 inches short as I assume it should fit on the bracket I have circled.
Either the bend is short or the pipe length unless something is wrong?

Well it doesn’t look right the pipes should bolt to the bracket rearward of the gearbox crossmember - where does the other pipe sit?

That looks as though you've got the correct RH pipe and possibly the LH pipe for an automatic gearbox, they have different rear mounting points.

Hi thanks for the replies. Do you know if the pipe is longer for a manual than auto as that could be the problem wrong pipe sent. Other side fits fine

I'm pretty sure that one of the pipes for A type and J type O/D are also different although I can't remember which pipe off the top of my head

I have an auto bw35 and a manual OD that is not on the car yet. .One pipe, ISTR right pipe) is totally different. The only difference between the other pipe is the point where the bracket attaches to it. The length and profile is the same. I think the non OD and OD pipe are the same if not mistaken.

I will try and dig out a photo.

The transmission support bracket is in the same location for all car variants.
for Bw35, manual and manual non OD.the exhaust bracket does not attach to the transmission bracket . Your photo implies it does. I can't say for exhausts for BW65
