I love my stag

Sorry guys, you've probably heard this a million times before, but I'm new to this game and this is my first classic car.

I've had her for three weeks, bought her cheap(ish) as a non-runner (as some of you may remember!) and have taught myself through all the diagnosis and issues thanks to youtube, a good mechanic friend and you lot... it's taken a lot to get to this point, but...

Today, I took her for her first proper drive!

The beautiful sunny country roads, top down, amazing engine sound, blasted out all the cobwebs and I think this grin is going to be plastered to my face for a VERY long time!

What a ride. I mean, obviously, now she's running I'm picking up a load of other issues, but that's 50% of the joy for me, fixing her up all by myself!

I absolutely love it.

Right, off for a dream filled sleep of roaring down country lanes!!!

That's great to hear mate. You are lucky to have that vital mechanical knowledge. I am planning to learn a lot when I get my Stag back in 6 weeks. At least the engine should'nt give me any further grief! Enjoy the car

Thanks Matty! I certainly didn’t have that mechanical knowledge before I started on her; it’s amazing how the brain can get back into learning again. But having a decent second opinion person who knows what they’re doing, now that is vital! But for me, the dream of getting a car was certainly a dream that included me learning all about mechanics...

I really hope yours is frickin awesome when it all gets sorted out. We’ll have to go for a drive together, V8 vs V6!
