That modified heater box is a neat solution which is what I was originally going to make one myself with and old heater box from a sedan but decided I would get better air flow in heating and AC modes by keeping the original heater box and connect aftermarket AC system to it. Also the other advantage is I can remove the heater box and AC evap unit as two separate items if required in future.

I have finished off installing the relays for the AC Fan and Clutch as well as new relays for the headlights. All seem to work well and so far the 150AMP fuse on the battery supply cable is handling the load.

Finally finished making the bracket to support the ac compressor, the alternator and the belt tensioner.

Again MDF was my friend to make a model to ensure it all fitted correctly then got a fab shop to cut and weld it up. Happy it all sits nicely and is straight in alignment with the belt tensioner and the other pulleys.

There were delays in getting this done, as previously posted I first needed to move the battery to the boot which has allowed more space for the compressor, radiator overflow tank and washer bottle.

While I was waiting I also put heat insulation wrap on the headers to reduce under bonnet temps.

Next will be connecting all the ac hoses.
