    Front speaker ideas

Bought some mid-range Alpines. By some careful cutting I can get the tweets in the dash, but looking for ideas on the 5 inchers. Normal would be in the lower door, but that would eliminate the handy pockets. I have not opened the doors yet, but looking for what other folks have done.

Both the tweeters and the mids are on the doors. Ive used speaker pods for the mids. One 10" sub in each of the rear quarters along with a full range speaker and a single 12" sub in the passenger floor well. Then some more tweeters and mids in place of the rear seat. A pair of active crossovers in to a few amps with a Audio Power Capacitor for good measure. Just waiting for a decent (wireless) DSP to come along.

Just looking for ideas and pictures of a 5 1/2 in the door. How did you deal with the pockets. Any obstructions inside.? I am putting a radio, not a theater.

I find the dash top tweets give far better imaging that top of doors. Personally, I want the sound-stage in front of me, not scattered around.
Crutchfield was advertising a DSP box. Don't know anything about it.
