Needle valves

Hi all, I ordered part number AAU4547 as they looked the same as what was fitted. But the thread was different and will not screw in. I've read that there have been some issues with the thread on some valves including Grose. Any suggestions on what to try next or is it pot luck what fits? Thanks in advance

I tried all available needle valves.
the generic, the zenith kit ( probably as per generic), the grose valves & also the voting tipped.
the grose ones seemed tight in the housing but did seat after a careful over tighten.
None of them fixed the leaking issue though.
Luckily I got some new old stock carburettors which don’t leak.

Thanks for the reply. At least I'm not the only one who has had this problem. Seems like it is trial and error. Or bite the bullet and try and tighten the new one to fit....

Hi Mark, I think there an old thread where Milo had a problem, you may be able to search for it, he knowns what's what
