Exhaust tail pipe trims !!!!

I found these on ebay they can`t be a stag part surely :?:?

Hi Adrian
I just had an email from him,I asked what size bore they were,he said "from many years of working with Triumph cars and from memory, there was only one size of tailpipe made by the factory. These trims fit those pipes. Pattern exhaust makers did make various different sizes".

I thought there were two :? am I wrong ?

MK1 Stags large bore MK2 small bore, the tail pipe finishers were welded on the exhaust, he is wrong...i read your question.

That must be correct, My tailpipes seems as if they have trims welded on.I often wondered about this.

I have asked him a couple of questions, one being what other NOS parts he is going to advertise.

These are brushed aluminium tail pipe trims for aftermarket Harmo exhaust system, they arefor the MK1 large bore tail pipes, they are a push fit over the tail pipe.

Not sure about mk2s but mk1s did originally have these separate finishers on the tailpipes.

You just need a set of old Mk 1 large bore tail pipes to go with them.I had this set up on a Mk 1 I had years ago,did look smart.

Has anyone actually got a standard exhaust? if the erstwhile suppliers cant supply panels that fit why should exhaust be a standard size, probably most is metric now anyway!

I left my 'standard exhaust' on the M25 about junction 7 coming back from the blacksmiths nearly two years ago - since replaced by a 'bad boy system'
