Would anyone be able to confirm if a Lucas 16W wiper motor is suitable for a Stag and where might I find information about this motor?
Thank you in advance !
I don't have as much knowledge as most with the Lucas 16W but I had a problem with my wiper motor earlier this year. I did a little research online and found that they are mainly used only on Stags and IIRC Scimitars. There are however different wheels inside which control the sweep, 120 and 130 I think. Mine is a 130 from memory but I could check that for you if you needed me to. My sweep is perfect and would change the wheel if I purchased one with a 120, they may be the Scimitar ones Im not sure. Good luck, I hope that helps.
Hi Des thank you that’s great I’m led to believe they are capable of intermittent sweep with a second connector plug at least on some of them ?

Hi Niallcat,
The original wiper motor fitted to my 72 MKI was a 16W.
Most suppliers can provide reconditioned versions of this and a guy called Will Sparrow can even recondition your existing unit.
As the park switches on the 16W are usually way past their best, I decided to fit a brand new LRW110 unit as per the one available from Car Builder Solutions and fitted to Landrovers, Minis, etc.
You need to resize the bundy tube to fit, but otherwise it works well.
I think I used a 130 degree gear wheel.
