Hi,with my on going restoration i need to remove the windscreen,as i can gather the chromes are not available so to avoid damage to mine i have decided the best way to avoid damage is to cut them out of the screen rubber first.I will need to fit a new windscreen rubber(hopefully not a screen too),can anyone tell me where to get the best fitting new rubber from? Thanks,Adrian.

As far as i know, there is only one company making the seal now, so it won't make any difference who you buy it from. Unfortunately there were two different trims fitted which used slightly different seals, but we now have to make do with the one. If you are lucky, your trim might be the correct one for the seal. If it isn't, the fitter may need to use some mastic to hold it firmly in place.

I tend to reuse the original seal if it isn't completely knackered as I have found the life expectancy of repro screen rubbers is about as good as most repro rubber parts.
Cracking on the corners seems to be the usual problem, unless newer ones are an improvement on the stuff that was available 10 years ago.
