Mk 1 resistor board in rear lights

Anyone know what this does or how it is wired ?

I removed it when the car went away for paint along with the lights and now can't for the life of me remember how it connects back :?. It has 2 male spades on it if that helps any, and I'm sure a red wire was connected one side.

Hi,
The idea is it dims the stop lights when the side lights are on. I toying with the idea of bypassing mine next time I take boot trim out so I have decent brake lights at night. there is a description and wiring diagram in the manual.
