A simple way to keep PDWA shuttle in place while bleeding brakes

Here is a simple way to keep the shuttle in place when bleeding brakes. The small screw can be ground down a bit. It fits in the hole and then a bolt is used to keep the screw in place. (Use a magnetic screw as it might be difficult to remove with fingers)

When I last bled my brakes, whole system, I used a pressure bleeder. I left the PDWA alone and I had no problems at all.

        Cheers

No, it moved fine, I checked with a small screwdriver or similar.

+1 on the pressure bleeder, mine was fine as well.
I guess its not enough pressure to move it? Certainly easy to do alone!

I have never had a problem using a pressure bleeder or by foot as long as all movements are not sudden ğŸ‘

With the car off and with the shuttle off centre, Is there any difference to the feel of the pedal?

The Gunson Eezibleed has been around for ages and is what I have. You will have to do some research on a cap to fit the Stag reservoir though. I made my own from a spare cap. I believe at one time a few years back Gunson would send you one (for free?) if you asked them nicely! I see there is now a 'multi purpose' cap available, so that may do the job?

I thought about putting a tyre valve on a spare cap and blowing low pressure air from from the top. However, caps are not cheap these days. I admit I don't flush my fluid out as recommended these days.
