My old school of bleeding brakes has ben to use two people. I now have a Mity Vac and can apply vacuum on the loose bleed valve and stuck the fluid out. The concern I have is, does air flow around the threads of the loose bleed valve?

You can put a small piece of plumbers tape on the threads which will reduce this
Plus one on this tip. Use PTFE tape, the thin general plumbing type and not the thicker gas fitting type. Carefully wrap it around the thread twice, obviously taking care not to cover the fluid hole!
