Hi everyone, hope you are all well. My question is what is the best method of fitting a sump gasket, i have the one from LD Parts which is 1.5mm, do you use gasket sealer or not. When you look along the top of sump the holes stick up slightly, i'm just wondering how this manages to seal properly, Many thanks Steve

The sump has a raised swage to encourage sealing pressure.
the areas around the bolts can end up being distorted after overtightening.
planish those back down carefully to the original swage height.
use a pu sealant (best) or dirko (2nd best) on both sides of the gasket.
dont use slimey silicone.
make sure the front cover is on first if possible & that all the front cover threads are sound. There are 2 secrets to staying on top :- 1. Don't give everything away.
