I'd just like to canvass views on the desirability of using stainless head studs. I realise that they won't suffer from rusting as such, but my previous experience with using stainless fasteners on alloy components is that the alloy gets eaten away by galvanic action, especially when in contact with water. Has anyone long-term experience of these studs?
Or are we relying on the stud/head contact remaining watertight?
Thanks,
Chris
