    E J Ward Header Tank

I was just speaking to E J ward and I heard that they are now selling their header tank kits but they are not on their web site as mentioned in the latest mag.

Costs 110 UKP for the basic tank and 165 UKP for complete kit including a one peice silicon T - peice hose which simplifies the fitting.

they said they have sold a number of these kits but I am surprised I have not heard of anyone form the forum that has fitted one.

    Anyone tried this kit yet?

Just placed my order so lets see what it is like when it comes

Hi Steve, I'm thinking about ordering one, would you know if they fit or make provision for a level switch, Cheers Terry

He told me that there is no provisioning for a level switch. I think this is a bit of a failing if they have had the tank manufactured to suit.

Yes that's a pity, I suppose you could get an after market modification but it would be better if it was done at production

I saw them at Stoneleigh--VERY PRETTY

But £165.00 without a level switch---you must be mad

Buy a merc one for £5 on e-bay then a genuine merc hose for £15.00 Job Done

              Hello,

Some Ford Cosworth Header Tanks look exactly like the EJWard ones and fit snuggly around the strut. They are made of transparent plastic, so you do not really need a levelalarm switch. You can get a new one for about 30.00.

Personally I think, however, that both sit to low to provide water for the water pump.

              Kind regards, Dieter.

Darren is dead right, the level switch is #1 priority for me.

I think the EJWard tank sits no lower than mine, and I can fill the whole system throughmy level tank, the bottom of the tank is no lower than the top hose

If not plastic, having a level switch and/or sightglass is a must in my mind.

Maybe I should dig out the thread on water level sensors :-)
