Back on the road

On Friday the car got its first MoT for eight years

I must admit to not being 100% certain it would pass, not least because, of course, you can't really drive it untill you've got the MoT!

Now I've got to drive it and do those things that I didn't do in caseI had to take anything apart if it failed - like put another coat of underseal stuff on and fill the box sections with oily waxy stuff

Thanks Bruce and Martin, Andy: it was originally taken off the road to fix a small hole in the passenger footwell, then I found more and the following 8 years were filled with occassional bursts of enthusiasm and longer periods of waiting for the arrival of 'round tuits'. Since I was made redundant last Sept I've been gradually catching up on things like decorating rooms and getting Stags back on the road - I even washed the windows a few days ago!

And yes Bruce I guess I should change the avatar, I need to get some photos done for the insurance valuation so when the sun comes out again I'll be snapping away.

o cool, i know what you mean about the liitle whole as i know somebody else doing a job just like that at the min, [ dont i ROGER] lol 8 years i think his will be 10 at least lol

Iwill look out for you.Mine was off the road for 9 years before i got it.Luckily no rust at all. Going for respray in 2 weeks-cant wait.

Mmmm... that's much more drastic surgery than I did, but having learned a lot this time round I'll feel more confident about doing something like Roger next time.

BTW Roger are those new inner sills and did they fit ok? EDIT:OOps- just realised what car it is

well i have to say it on the forum, that is a suprise and shock to see you have got that far in putting it back together, the last time i saw this car there was nothing there at all,
