HF wont ship to Australia. Does anyone know a way around that?

Most Harbor freight stuff is Chinese, you cant find similar locally?

Not really. For tools etc there’s nothing here that comes even close. I was looking in particular at their electric winches for a hardtop hoist. Also ratchet imperial measure tools.

Do you have ALDI in Australia ? I think someone here mentioned using ALDI own brand winch for the very same.

Anyone selling one locally in QLD maybe or FleeBay ? Google PARKSIDE CABLE WINCH PSZ 250 B2 which I assume will be of chinese origin too.

The problem would be the cost of shipping from USA, it was never cheap and now with the reduced cargo capacities its even worse. I cant imagine the combined cost of it and shipping is not over whatever you can source on, say, e-bay.

I have used these guys, https://www.transglobalexpress.co.uk/ they are pretty slick and you can set it all up from your end without any need for the intermediary to do anything except get the weight and size to you and make sure its available on the day of pickup. They (and there are a few others) get deep discounts from FedEx, UPS TNT etc. and pass the savings on. its all set up online including customs docs. try them out, you can set up a shipping and see.. you get a few quotes, compare it to others..

I did this recently when I bought a steering wheel out of UK.. it went well..

All you need then is an intermediary! I'm fine helping you but you may want to find someone on the west coast.

Ordered my winch from eBay. It was the cheapest item of the lot!

Similarly, I've sourced some good quality AF tools also via eBay, obviously depending on budget and personal choice if to swerve some of the cheaper chinese quality knocking about.
