    strut gaiters

Are there any from another car that can be used on the Stag and will last more than 1 month.

Mine from LD parts are a couple of years and show no signs of failing.

The gaiters on the market now don’t have pre cut breather holes in them , one has to make your own holes , did you do this to yours ?

I have these Spax adjustable shocks for the front and the gaiters that comes with them are plastic and too short and probably wont last. The have this rubber round block at the top which the gaiter attaches to. It's about 49 mm in diameter. I just went on Amazon and bought some generic motor cycle front fork ones. I'll report back.

The ones from SOC Spares come with breather holes and last very well. Mine have been on there for years.

Can someone please tell SOC Spares to ship outside of UK? They used to, I placed an order, before Christmas, but it got cancelled as I wanted the items shipped to me here in USA.

I don't "tell" my kids to do household chores, well not for the first 3 times of asking anyway

Because of the Pandemic there are a World of issues as a direct result. for instance container shipping costs from China, regardless of whether filled with cheap nasty crap or not, has gone up 5 fold and is climbing.

Getting stuff out of the EU is now an issue as a direct result of years of arguing about fish quotas and not the important stuff. So there would now appear to be massive confusion among companies/suppliers and individuals who have previously traded with the UK in that they now have to pay VAT / duty / whatever locally. This is some new EU mandate and so impacts any destination outside the block.

                  So supply chain is impacted.

However at the end of the day if SOCSpares only wish to service the domestic market then that is their call.

Sujit..I had forgotten that Stuart at SOC Spares has stopped exporting now. I'm afraid that since Brexit it has become a real chore. I have been trying to send a small box of second hand Stag parts to a German member, and a month later they still haven't reached him. Have you got any friends over here who could send Stag stuff over to you as a "Present"?

Hello Mike. I have family in UK. but one issue I've run into is anything shipped to a UK is subject to VAT. Then ild have thr cost of postage to USA. As an example I bought some water pump stuff from Revington last year. The difference in cost to have the stuff shipped to me here in USA than to my mother in UK was 5 Pounds. They would have tacked on 20% VAT. It seems SOC Spares has good stuff and if be happy to buy directly.

it would appear that your president is the blockage Sujit, seems more keen to get into bed with the Chinese

Boris Johnson’s hopes of striking an early trade deal with the US — seen as one of the biggest prizes of Brexit — have faded after new warnings that such pacts were not a priority for president Joe Biden’s new administration.
Liz Truss, UK trade secretary, insists that much of the work needed to secure a trade deal has been done, but senior UK government officials have admitted that an agreement may not be possible in 2021.
Janet Yellen, Mr Biden’s nominee for Treasury secretary, said the new president had made it clear that the US economy had to be upgraded before more trade barriers were taken down.

“President Biden has been clear that he will not sign any new free trade agreements before the US makes major investments in American workers and our infrastructure,†she added.
White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Friday said there was no set timeline for completing the deal. The administration’s “primary priorities†were tackling coronavirus and providing economic relief to Americans, she added.
Kim Darroch, Britain’s former ambassador to Washington, told the BBC it was “a stretch†to think a UK-US trade deal would happen during Mr Biden’s first term as president, saying Britain would not be a top priority
