    Resto DVD.

Hi all, I've just finished watching the Restoration DVD, if you look closely, you can see all the places to be wax injected and how to get at them. I'm sure that's not it's purpose, but it's very useful. Martin.

Hi Mike, got mine from Wards, I don't know who else carries it. Even if you're not into restoration it's fascinating for somebody who loves Stags. Martin.

I agree. Got mine this morning and I've only just finished watching it.

As Mick Ward himself 'stars' in the film, I wouldn't be surprised if the other suppliers didn't sell it.

Martin - I only saw your wax injection comment after I'd watched the video - I know it's just common sense but doesa list of suggested points of injection exist?

        Cheers

Hi Julian, I don't think so mate, there may be something from wax injection specialists, but will they tell owners and risk their income ?but if you watch closely, you can see the rusted areas, for example, the bottom front of the rear wing where it joins the sill, and access through the "B" post, and from above, the base of tha "A" post and access from behind etc. The views most owners will never see. Martin.

            Hi Martin

Yes, those are good points you make - I reckon I'll watch the video again and pay a bit more attention to that aspect

I'm going to be fitting new carpets before long - once I've finished sorting out my waterleaks - and I'm tempted to fit some (like sill carpets) with velcro rather than glue so I can easily lift them for topping up the treatment.

            Cheers

            Julian

Provided they sit properly, that sounds like a VERY good idea. Martin.

This brings to mind aquestion for Martin and anybody else:

When you're wax injecting, is there any way to get in to the outriggers and chassis legsand, if not, do you think it's worth drilling and plugging a hole so they can be injected

Hiya, the outriggers and chassis legs have plenty of access holes for injecting, don't seal them afterwards,as do the sills, underneath the tread plates, these holes you need to cover with duct tape. Martin.

when I did mine I not have drill any holes and am fairly confident I got it everywhere it was needed, when you have it jacked up and get under there it should be fairly clear to see how to get into each box section (as long as you have a reasonably long attachment for the gun) - just a horrible messy job!
