New Tires

I've been putting it off as long as I could, but Henry got a flat today. The date code of the tires is 0187. It's time.
Will the aluminum wheels take a tubeless tire?

they should be painted inside as all alloys should be as it is a porous material. maybe a good time to refurb or replace wheels. 15" wheels give a huge choice of tyres.

Hi Dave, stick to the original wheels, their not my favourite alloy but they suit the Stag perfectly. There's nothing wrong with them, provided they're clean wherethe tyre ( tire ) bead sits there are no probs. Properly painted is a good thing, but not essential, mine have sat on unpainted rimsfor six years,go for it. Martin.

can someone please remind me how to date the tyres, i know there is a code but forgot what it is, will give me an excuse to change to some nice 195's - i have given up on looking for the challenger (stag style) 15" wheels:X

faversham were selling them. ..

madcyclist is not associated with any businesse's in the faversham area. there are other stag specialists available.....
