Now I know this sounds a bit annoraky, but have been in B&Q this aft to try to find a clear plastic aerosol cap, because it looked perfect fro the job,..........dont suppose you can remember what the brand name of laquer was as the clear flat plastic tops are nil in B&Q?.
You think that sounds 'anoraky'? I can actually remember!

The used to sell their paints with a special plastic cap which had a removable clear flat plastic cover. Inside the lid was a brush and small wire brush. But they have now gone to the conventional caps, same as everyone else.

Since I am unable to get hold of a reasonably priced Mk2 tacho todo this job, I have decided to get a modern PCB for my Mk1 gauge, same face, same case, no drilling or filing involved and you end up with MK2 internals in effect. The guy who is doing it for me lurks around here but doesn't get involved very much as he doesn't want the moderators to think he is touting for business.
